The current pictures are my son, Ben, and I; my husband and son; and my dogs, Lily and Mikey. My son, Chris, still owes me a picture.
Greetings,
I am Mrs. Coyer and a newer teacher to kindergarten. I am excited and motivated to be teaching kindergarten. My professional goal is to teach various levels, and this change was motivated by my goal. I previously taught in the junior high as the sixth grade homeroom teacher and science teacher for the sixth, seventh and eighth grade students. I enjoy, respect, and value the students of all ages.
My husband and I met at Illinois State University, married, and settled back in Pekin. I have two Bachelors of Science Degrees from ISU. Kevin and I have two sons, Chris attending ICC and Ben attending St. Ambrose University. My children, Kate and Luke, had a disease like “The Boy in the Bubble” and passed away at age four and age two respectively. My life experience taught me to view each child as a precious gift to be valued, and I put that experience into practice daily with my students.
I have a love for animals that I enjoy sharing with students, parents, and co-workers. I have two dogs, and students and I enjoy telling each other our pet stories and learn about God’s love for us and for our animal friends through our pets.
